Women gardeners take centre stage in “Grandi Giardiniere d’Italia”
A journey of discovery into an Italy that reveals itself through its most hard-working face, where hands work the soil, graft, plant, and struggle against adversity, rather than simply watching their garden being created by others. Strong, determined women, wives and mothers, but above all gardeners for whom plants come first, working until “it’s too dark to tell the plants apart”.
Rose Tè, tomorrow’s heritage
From women gardeners we move on to “Tea” roses, which today represent one of the most valid botanical choices for responding to the effects of climate change. Their lush, abundant blooms, which embrace arches, columns and balustrades and withstand ever longer, hotter summers, are the protagonists of “Rose Tè” Patrimonio di Domani, a journey from the south of France to the Indian subcontinent telling the story of these remarkable roses.
