This is the 1st edition of the Proceno-Viterbo, which retraces the beautiful stretch of the Via Francigena once crossed by pilgrims on their way to Rome.
On this day, spent in the saddle of our bikes, we will cross natural places of rare beauty, passing through unique villages of the Tuscia.
The route – of medium length with an elevation gain of around 1,000 metres – will be ridden at a controlled pace, respecting mountain bike and road rules.
We will set off from Proceno towards Bolsena, where we will be able to visit the Castle with the museum and aquarium, accompanied by our expert guides.
We will then gather to admire the beauty of the lake while enjoying a tasty snack.
Setting off again from Bolsena and tackling a few uphill stretches, we will reach Montefiascone, and more precisely the A1980 estate, where we will enjoy a light lunch based on local specialities.
After recovering our energy, we will ride the final downhill stretch towards Viterbo, gathering in Piazza San Lorenzo for the closing farewell.
