Two days on the Lungolago di Bolsena dedicated to fish heritage, culinary culture and respect for the environment, featuring tastings, side events, entertainment, education and show cooking with Michelin-starred chefs and local excellences.
On 17 and 18 September, on the Lungolago di Bolsena, lake fish takes centre stage in all its many facets – from cuisine to culture, from economy to territory – at the Bolsena Fish events, organised by the Rieti-Viterbo Chamber of Commerce and the Municipality of Bolsena, and funded by the Ministry of Agricultural and Forestry Policies through the FEAMP fund.
Two days dedicated to fish, especially lake fish, involving restaurateurs, food and wine professionals and operators from the fishing sector, without neglecting the culture and tradition of the area.
An event packed with appointments shedding light on fish culture, exploring its environmental, territorial, geological, nutritional and sustainability aspects, with show cooking, talks, book presentations and tastings pairing the event’s star product, fish, with other local products – among which legumes, potatoes, extra virgin olive oil and wines stand out.
In the Piazzale del Porto, show cooking using fish as the main ingredient, together with presentations of special products and producers from the fishing sector. Along the lakefront, up to Piazza Dante Alighieri, stands with food and wine products, and in Piazza Dante Alighieri, fish-based street food and a wine bar with tasting stations for wines from Lake Bolsena, illustrating pairings with the various fish products.
