With Radici in Cammino, the blog tour promoted by the DMO La Francigena e le Vie del Gusto in Tuscia together with PromoTuscia, journalists and creators told the story of an authentic Tuscia, away from the busiest circuits. The route started from Viterbo, the heart of Tuscia, among the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, the Palazzo dei Papi, the medieval quarter of San Pellegrino and the Via Francigena.
Among the stops, the Bosco del Sasseto at Torre Alfina – one of the most dreamlike places in Tuscia, among roots, volcanic rocks and centuries-old trees – and Farnese, the village that served as the set for Luigi Comencini’s “The Adventures of Pinocchio”.
The tour ended with one of its most heartfelt experiences: the walking-storytelling dedicated to Alfio Pannega, staged through the alleys of San Pellegrino and Pianoscarano, among ottava rima verses, folk tales and oral memory that still resonates in the heart of Viterbo.
