Three days, two cloisters, an entire city. The 2026 edition of Assaggi took place in Viterbo, in the Santa Maria in Gradi complex — the showcase dedicated to the food and wine production of Lazio, organised by PromoTuscia on behalf of the Rieti-Viterbo Chamber of Commerce.
Seventy exhibitors brought the show to life with tastings, show-cooking, workshops, talks, guided tours, research activities and B2B meetings. The Santa Maria in Gradi complex filled with producers, operators and visitors, along a route designed to communicate quality through images and content, build connections and showcase the finest production of the territory.
Assaggi di Città
Beyond the show, the city. On 16 and 17 May, Assaggi moved out of Santa Maria in Gradi with four guided itineraries exploring Viterbo, led by licensed tourist guides: the historic squares and palaces, the medieval quarters, the symbolic animals in the city’s monuments and the contribution of women to the city’s history. The tours were free with an Assaggi ticket, by reservation.
Calici Diffusi
In the Renaissance Cloister of the University of Tuscia – Santa Maria in Gradi, some of the leading wineries took part in Calici Diffusi, with a final toast together with the restaurateurs of central Viterbo. Tuscia continues to tell its story through wine, its restaurateurs and its excellences.
