IN SEARCH OF THE ORIGIN OF THE GARDEN: PRESENTATION OF THE ANDALUSIA TOUR

On 15 April 2015, in the heart of Milan at the renowned Libreria della Natura, PromoTuscia Viaggi e Congressi held an event presenting a most interesting trip to Andalusia, scheduled for the end of May that year, where the absolute protagonists would be the gardens and landscapes of this fascinating land. The itinerary was presented by the Tuscan architect Pietro Giannini, a great expert in European landscape gardens. The very name given to this tour, “In search of the origin of the garden”, suggested it was no mere presentation of a sightseeing trip for nature lovers. With remarkable narrative power, Giannini conveyed in preview the shifting emotions this composite itinerary would offer participants. The journey winds among the most famous botanical-design works of architect Jean Forestier, crossing the symbol-cities of Andalusia: Cordoba, Seville and Granada, wonderful historical-cultural blends where the Arab soul, the European Renaissance and the modern styles of the twentieth century coexist. The audience took part with great enthusiasm in this original presentation.
